Programs
The Montessori program is meant to aid the child in developing skills and character traits, which will enhance the quality of life. It is based on respect for the child at every level of development and aims to foster independence, freedom, self-discipline, and responsible choices.
Typical character traits are:
- Concentration, independence, order, self-confidence, self-motivation and coordination.
- Cooperation, leadership, organization
- Responsibility, consideration, helpfulness, and sense of justice.
Montessori Continuum
This factor builds on the continuing self-construction of the child for the duration of the program: Infant to Adolescent. It is an uninterrupted series of learning passages; a continuum based on Dr. Maria Montessori's theory of the four planes of development.
